First sign of anxietyThe ± factors have been around for a couple of years.

In philosophy the Plus-Minus factors can be found in what the Greeks referred to as arete and  kakia. Arete, which often is described as the pursuit of excellence or the achievement of maximum performance, can easily be transposed to what today's business consultants call "best practice". Kakia as the opposite of arete, was originally a Greek goddess of vice and moral badness. Not even the stigmatisation of gender in the western world can be called a new concept.

In religion, you are being presented for the Plus-Minus factors in the Genesis:

And the God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.

 Genesis, 2.16-17
